Compound bar charts, which compare two sets of data in one chart with two colours of bar; reading vertical and horizontal ones to find values, differences, totals, the most and the least, and the biggest gap; and making them with one square for 1000, 10000 or 100000, rounding the data first when needed.

丙苑的女居民人數比丁苑的女居民人數多多少人？

答案：3000 人
為甚麼？丙苑的女居民人數是 4000 人，丁苑的女居民人數是 1000 人。4000 − 1000 = 3000 人。也可以數一數兩條棒相差 3 格。
Question 3下面的複合棒形圖顯示某市四個區的成人和兒童人口，每一格代表 100,000 人。
南區的成人和兒童人口合共多少人？

為甚麼？南區的成人人口是 600,000 人，南區的兒童人口是 500,000 人。600,000 + 500,000 = 1,100,000 人。
